Today's post is all about the discounts you can receive by being a homeschooler!
I am always on the lookout for organizations and offers that homeschooling parents/teachers can participate in. More and more companies are recognizing us as teachers and are offering equal discounts to certified teachers. Here are just a few:

Books-A-Million offers a 20% discount to all teachers, including homeschoolers. I've heard that it depends on who you speak with at your local store to whether you need an ID to prove your homeschooling status. The back of the card clearly states homeschoolers are included in the discount program. However, I simply walked in, asked about their Educator's Discount Card and they handed me a card. It was that simple.
Borders also offers a discount program as well as Waldenbooks (affiliated with Borders).
Check with your local homeschool group for membership. Groups often receive even better deals at local events, museums, etc.
Have you heard of more companies offering homeschool discounts? Please share in a link or comment below!

Well, I don't homeschool ( although it can seem that way when I have to help with homework), but my friend Jilma does, you can check her blog, or just send her an email through her blog for anything you want to know about homeschooling. She has 10 kids, and been homeschooling for about 15 years or so. You can find her blog listed on my sidebar. She is M is for Mommy.
