target coupons state "one per customer per transaction. This will require multiple transactions or multiple trips.

You're absolutely right! However, it's still a deal that can be done. Some Publix stores allow the use of multiple Target coupons in one transaction to save the customer time since you could easily get back in line and do this 5 times.

Hello,
I just found your site today, after learning how to coupon in July 2009 (still learning, obviously). I was thrilled when I saw that your site is Christian-based! However, I have a question and I am not trying to start an argument or anything--but I really would like to know how buying ten boxes of just about anything, is being a good steward of God's money? Are you going to donate most of them? What about those of us that get to the store and want to buy just a normal supply for our family (2 boxes), but the shelves are empty because several people have bought ten boxes?
You do not have to post this comment, but certainly I cannot be the only Christian with this question. Maybe you could address this issue on your site soon?
Thank you very much!

2nd anonymous - what a great question. Stockpiling is VERY important in couponing. Buying 10 give you that luxury to have snacks for the next 4 months. You just took care of your kids snacks for a good number of days and have freed up some money for hopefully other areas. Also with the holiday season coming up, there are a number of recipes you can contribute these graham crackers to.

As for clearing the shelf, I too took advantage of this offer today and can tell you that the shelves had probalby enough for 8 other people do to do this same deal - and there is a Publix every few miles in my city. The stores tend to notice which items will go faster during these B1G1 sales. Stores like Publix for example, are also aware that there are coupons out long before they prepare this sale, so they get that these items will go fast and thus have extra in the back or are ready to issue rainchecks!

I can tell you with my boxes, I am handing over a couple to a neighbor and a few to my child's classroom - keeping 4 for myself as I only have one eating child in the home. I have used my gifts/talents to give to a neighbor with kids who doesn't know how to coupon, to donate to a teacher for snacks in the classroom, and to keep my own home suppied with food.

However, stockpiling is very immportant and I don't think it would be dishonoring God by putting 10 boxes in your cart. Depending on how many people you have in the home is how many you keep for yourself.

Anon- No offense to you, but it makes me crazy when I see people make comments like this. How can anyone guess what is the "right sized amount" for my family? I have two children and we can easily go through a box of graham crackers in a week. If I stockpile the items when I can get them free, then I don't have to run out in two weeks and buy a box at full price. THAT is being a good steward of my money.
(it's not like they expire next week, you know?)

oh, and if it's not in stock when you get there, get a raincheck. Easy enough.

I have been couponing my whole life..not just learning now. Therefore I have been a good steward of the financial blessings God has provided. It is good that you have decided to learn the couponing ropes and therefore become a better financial steward yourself. However, I do get a little anoyed when "I feel this way because I am a Christian" speak comes up....because is it really necessary to state that you are a Christian? My family attends church more than once a week and if completing a questionaire would mark Christian. Yet we don't find it necessary to introduce ourselves as christians or explain our thoughts/opinions "because I am a Christian". These comments frustrate the non-christian and create more division. We are all on this blog for one reason-to spend our money wisely- religious beliefs is irrelevant. I have bought 10+ plus boxes of the honey maid this week- some I will keep for my family and the others I am adding to my annual holiday food boxes. Yet again, it would be hard for you to "judge how many each family "needs" or is entitled too wouldn't it? Happy couponing.

If your store will accept the CVS 4/20 coupon this is a 4$ moneymaker after MIR.

Hi All!
I don't think I could've explained my reasoning for stockpiling and purchasing in bulk any better than Frugal Coupon Living. Thank you for that well-put comment!

Thanks for the added tip for savings! :)

For those who are concerned about clearing out the shelves you can always ask your store to order extra the day the sale starts. The manager should be accomodating.

Proverbs 21:20 In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has.

My local food bank is struggling. Every Communion Sunday we are asked to make an offering of food. Even if you give one box, you've given your tithe.
