My Publix Deals (...and Walgreens too!)

Okay, so I'm a little bummed that my Publix is no longer accepting Food Lion or Albertson's coupons as we do not have these stores local to us anymore. They are continuing to take the Walgreens and CVS, however, so I'm still happy. Those of you who shop at my Publix might want to take note of this new policy though. I was all set to use 6 $2/$5 Produce and Deli coupons today, but couldn't, so I ended up spending $12 more than planned. It was only a matter of time before they wouldn't accept them, so I'm thankful for the time they did allow them. I even got a few free items today, so be sure to check out the items in RED.

And luckily I hit my Walgreens on the day they were restocking the shelves! I grabbed my 11 cans of Hunt's Tomato Sauce!! Yes, there is a limit of 3 on the coupon, but upon request from my friendly store manager, they allowed me to purchase all 11. If your store does not allow it, simply split up your transactions and/or visit multiple stores. You do not have to purchase all 11 cans in one transaction to get this deal.

  • Hunt's Tomato Sauce, 8 oz (11): $10.89/11 - $.39/each Weekly Flier Q = Paid $4.29/11 (Receive a $5 ESR)
    Final Price $.71 Money Maker!!
On a side note, be sure to be friendly to your cashier(s) this week! This is their job, just as saving money is yours. It's a two-way street, and kindness goes a long way. Dealing with coupon shoppers is not always their cup of tea, but if you're easy to deal with, you might just make a friend and find that they look forward to seeing your deals each week.

I love my cashiers!! You know who you are. :)

Wow, that is SO disappointing, especially since we don't have many competitors in our area! Less competitor coupons means higher grocery bills and more trips to other stores for me :( I had a feeling it was only a matter of time. Thanks for the heads up!

I am so jealous that your Publix accepts CVS & Walgreens coupons!! I talked with my manager last week and she said that since they are 'rewards' for buying items at CVS & Walgreens, they cannot accept them. I was soooo bummed!
