Do you need a separate ESQ for each shampoo?

VintageChicChick - Great question. You do not need separate ESQ's. In fact, whenever you use Walgreens coupons, they will ring up for each item. So, for the Garnier items, I only needed 1 $2/1 ESQ, and it rang up 9 times automatically. The same thing goes for their weekly flier Q's.

Ugh! I got 25 cents off Palmolive coupons instead of 50 cents off. I guess 54 cents per bottle isn't soo bad!!!

MelRae - Believe me, I understand your grief. $.54/bottle is still a very good deal. The coupons can definitely vary by region. I don't live in a big city, so I often don't receive the BIG $$ coupons that I see others get online. Don't be discouraged though! You're still saving, and the overall picture is more savings than before coupons, right?!

I hit the jackpot at Walgreen's today, too - Garnier Fructis for free! Well, actually they ended up paying me a penny for each one! Ajax cleanser 3 for $1 with store Q, and with the Qs for Palmolive (I had one for $.75 off and another for $.25 off, so the money evened out), I also got them for $.29 like you did. I also got 7.5 oz Softsoap for $.64: Regularly $2.79, but only $.99 with Walgreen's coupon in the weekly flyer, plus I had a $.35 off Q.

This is fun!

I have never been to Walgreen's (it's not that close to my house and I don't drive) and just want to make sure I have everything in order before I take the bus over-

I have the garnier coupons from the 1/4 paper but what is an ESQ and where can I find one before I go? Also do I need a card set up to get this deal before I go the store?

Lo - I'm excited that you're trying Walgreens for the first time! They do not have a reward card system like CVS does, so don't worry about needing a card. ESQ stands for EasySaver Coupon. Walgreens puts out a monthly coupon catalog (EasySaver catalog), which can usually be found by their weekly fliers in the stand as you walk in the door of their store. You can alos find it online and I have a link to it on the left side of my blog. You only need 1 ESQ for the entire transaction. The register will automatically multiply it for each item it refers to. Match it up with the 1/4 Q's and it'll be free! You may need to purchase something very small as it will give $.01 overage, and that can sometimes be a problem. Hope that helps!! Good luck!
